It holds roughly double the ink volume, meaning fewer mid-project trips to the store.Flawless OEM Reliability: As a genuine HP product, reviewers note it works instantly without any of the alignment errors, rejected chips, or leaking issues that frequently plague third-party remanufactured cartridges.Sharp Print Quality: Users consistently praise the rich black pigment formula.

It delivers crisp, smudge-resistant text for text documents, school homework, and professional shipping labels.Flexible Instant Ink Tiering: Buyers enrolled in the HP Instant Ink ecosystem like that this cartridge integrates perfectly with automated background tracking, though retail buyers also use it seamlessly as a standalone purchase.👎 What Customers Complain About (The Cons)High Upfront Price Tag: While it offers better value than the standard size, many customers still feel that original HP ink is fundamentally overpriced for the amount of fluid you receive. The "High-Yield" Misconception: Though marketed as "High-Yield" (rated for up to 240 pages at 5% standard coverage), several buyers caution that printing dense documents, graphics, or multi-page reports will deplete the tank much faster than expected.Firmware Stress: Some users note that HP's frequent printer firmware updates can occasionally cause brief connectivity or recognition bugs, even with genuine cartridges, requiring a printer restart.🏁 Final VerdictThe HP 67XL Black Cartridge is a highly reliable "sweet spot" for standard retail buyers, offering dependable performance and twice the lifespan of the standard 67 cartridge. If you are a light-to-moderate printer who values hassle-free setup and sharp text quality, this is absolutely the version you should buy over the standard size.

It cuts down your cost-per-page and saves you from the frequent low-ink warnings of the base model. However, if you print massive volumes daily, buying these cartridges at standard retail prices will still add up quickly.💡 How to proceed for maximum savings:If you print less than 50 pages a month: Stick to buying this 67XL retail cartridge as needed to avoid ink drying out.If you print heavily or predictably: Consider using this cartridge's Instant Ink eligibility to sign up for a monthly page plan, which users report drastically lowers their net ink costs.
